This is to notify the Interlaken community that there will be a change to our management and maintenance operations beginning April 1, 2019.
The Interlaken Board of Directors over the past three years has been slowly transitioning Interlaken from a resident managed community to an independent professionally managed community.
We are continuing to work through the details and will provide you with a full presentation at our February 23, 2019 meeting and every homeowner meeting thereafter.
In 2017 we hired Equitas to manage our maintenance needs. In 2018 we expanded Equitas’ responsibility to include Accounting and the management company assumed responsibility for, and took on direct employment of our former Interlaken employees.
The change has presented challenges and opportunities for our Board and community, but generally, we are satisfied with the progress and the direction of this transition.
Now, we are ready to move to the next stage in the process to dramatically reduce our dependence on residents to manage the daily operations of our community.
We have been in discussion with several management companies and landscaping vendors and have come to the decision that Sentry Management (formerly Diamond) and Skyview Landscaping would benefit Interlaken by taking over all customer service, financial and maintenance operations. We will be able to eliminate our need for equipment. A 24 hour customer service line to handle all emergencies will be established for Interlaken and the manpower supplied by the professional vendor will be a benefit to servicing Interlaken.
We will be discussing with you in the coming months, all the details and advantages of this decision. As with any change, there will be issues and some loss of customized services we have today. Each Board member stands ready to listen to concerns, clarify the transition and work with you on solving any problem that arises.
